Permanent Memorialization

This means creating a dedicated place for family and friends to connect with your loved one.  This means having a place where you can visit and say to your loved one, "I will always remember you."

    A Consistent Place of Healing

In our modern society, people are not given enough time to grieve their losses.  The pressures of work, even the simple emotional need to ‘be busy,’ often bring the bereaved back into the ‘real’ world far too soon.  Often times a death occurs unexpectedly, arrangements have to be made quickly, and there seems to not be enough time to sort through final decisions.

This is why arranging for a permanent place such as a cemetery, mausoleum, or cremation garden is such an essential part of the moments following a death.  A place that can be visited regularly by family and friends becomes a focal point of memorialization.  It gives everyone a special place to go to remember your loved one, or to commemorate important occasions.  It can even help to make a birthday or anniversary less painful.

With cremation, many families are choosing to scatter the cremated remains of their loved one in a favorite place.  Some traditions include scattering in the ocean or from the sky; and although these particular rituals are very meaningful, they also leave little room for future visitation.  Having a cremation garden or niche, or a favorite spot in nature to visit, means that you will always have a consistent place to connect with the memories of the person you loved so dearly.

A permanent place to reflect on your loved one also becomes a way of connecting to a family's past. Visiting the resting place of grandparents or great-grandparents, for example, may provide children with an anchor to their personal history.

Permanent Memorialization is a connection to the past, to a love that was once shared so deeply.  It truly honors the relationship you still have ~ and will always have ~ with that special and important person.
